Bailout or Breakthrough?
We all know that times are tough. Recession and Depression has been ringing in people's ears. In order to prevent turmoil, the government has recently passed a bailout plan. But is a bailout what we really need?
Life goes through seasons. It's no doubt that we are going through a pretty tough winter, and it seems that Spring isn't just coming anytime soon. Folks have lost faith that the government can save us, and have a hard time trusting any company about a 'secure' job or good 'retirement.'
It's hard to trust anyone at this point when they say everything is going to be alright. It's seems we've hit the rock bottom, and we don't see any light at the end of the tunnel.
We entered in this expecting to be trials and tribulations, but believed that we can get through them. But what about when we hit a point to where can't take it anymore? Do we bailout or breakthrough?
Consider your options. What happens when you bailout? What happens when you breakthrough? It all comes down to what you want most. What is it that you truly desire? Do you give up or keep going? Do you accept responsibility for your actions, or do you stay in denial and hope that it just goes away? Do you stay and fight or do you throw in the towel thinking life will be better without?
What happened is unacceptable and it hurts. It's difficult to find trust again. If there was a plan in place, showing a light at the end of the tunnel, would you help in the effort to breakthrough? Can you find the strength even though you think you don't have anything else left? Is it worth it? Or do you want to just bailout now and start over?
Either way, I believe you'll find that it's going to be a rough ride. You're starting over trying find your way again, or breakthrough the rough times and stay focused on the prize.
Cars now come with a navigation system. You can plug in an address and it will tell you exactly where to go. So all you have to do is follow what it tells you do and you will get to your destination. However, sometimes there's construction and you have to detour. Sometimes you think there's a better way, and you try a different route. Sometimes you don't even believe that the path the GPS navigation system gives is the right one! So we tend to stray off the path. The nice thing about the GPS is that it never gives up on us. It will still keep telling us to turn around or it will reroute our path, so even though we may not get to our desitnation when we want to, but we will get there if we listen and follow the steps that we were given.
Donnie McClurklin wrote song that said that we fall down, but we get up. But you can only get up if you're willing to get up. If you show that you're willing and you listen to what you have been given as a path, you'll breakthrough.
Bailout or Breathrough? I choose breakthrough. I know what plan God has in store for me. I know what I truly desire. I'm not going to bailout. I know that the only one who can fix me is me, and I know what I can give. I just pray that trust is found in knowing I want this bad enough to make it work, suffer the storm in order to enjoy the sunshine later. Life is full of trials. Every trial is going to be thrown in our way. If we haven't learned, it will be thrown harder and harder until you get the hint. Well, I get the hint, and I'm ready to change. I don't want it to be to late. I'll wait until the sun will shine again.
